Custom "Yonkers" Tote Design
In collaboration with Levi’s, I designed a Yonkers-themed tote bag to celebrate the opening of their new store location. Blending my background in painting and graphic design, I created artwork that wove together familiar Yonkers and New York iconography with imagery that felt both nostalgic and proudly local.
Working closely with the Levi’s creative team, we engaged in multiple rounds of sketches and concept development before bringing the final design to life on paper, and in stores.
Yonkers is often called the “6th Borough” because of its close connection to New York City — it shares the same fast-paced energy, diverse culture, and creative spirit, just a few subway stops north of the Bronx.
Behind The Design
Yonkers is best known for its vibrant energy and the iconic Empire City Casino. I drew from the bold typography and glowing nostalgia of old Vegas signage, reimagining that retro charm through a modern, playful lens that captured Yonkers’ own sense of excitement and character.
